So, you're wondering why I haven't posted in a week, or maybe you're not. Who knows. Anyway, I've been rather busy lately and the reason is Soccer. Now this is a sports blog, but I haven't really ever talked soccer on it before, even though we are a big time soccer family. Goose has been playing since he was 4 and now competes in the top division of club soccer in Texas. This week his team has been competing in the Dallas Cup which is one of the top youth tournaments in the world. As a part of this tournament, the local teams house the teams from various other countries. This week we have had 2 more kids in the family and they hail from Trinidad & Tobago. So besides getting Goose to all of his matches we've had to transport our visitors to and from theirs as well and mix in a few baseball games for Nobie just for good measure. I can see the $$$ flying out the windows, mostly in the form of gas and food, but it's been a lot of fun. Which brings me to the Big D Customs first. As a sort of gift for our new friends, I've created the first ever team set of Big D Customs and will be giving each of the boys from Trinidad & Tobago there very own custom card. Here is the complete set in it's pre-assembled form.
Another dad and I took about 300 photos during 2 different games to make sure we had at least 1 good shot of each of the boys. Now I've got until Sunday afternoon to get them all assembled as they will be heading back home Monday morning. I hope the boys like them and get a kick (no soccer pun intended) out of seeing themselves on a sports card. This next week I should be able to get back an a little more frequent posting schedule as we return to a 3 kid family and things slow down, just a little. Later.
