To Zistle or not to Zistle?
As you may or may not know, we are relatively new to this whole collecting and trading thing. Our collection is steadily growing, and as it does the possibility of accumulating multiples of any given card increases, which is making it harder and harder to remember exactly what we have. I've checked out Zistle a little, but have yet to jump in and try it. My question for you fellow bloggers is, Is it worth the time and effort to use? Seems like it would be very time consuming to scan all of ones cards into the system, although, I suppose it's better to start when your collection is smaller than to wait until you've got a million cards to keep track of. Anyway, if you are a believer in Zistle or have some tips/do's & don'ts, let me know. Later.

I like Zistle, but it is young. You don't need to scan every card in the system if it is already in their database. The key to Zistle's success lies in how many people are willing to spend a little time to make the database great. It is young though.
ReplyDeleteZistle is a great place. I don't scan all of my cards. I just scan in cards where there are gaps. Right now I'm concentrating more on getting team names assigned to players.
ReplyDeleteHey this is Josh from Zistle, so take what I say with a grain of salt :) but, it's totally possible to use Zistle without scanning anything. The idea is that if any one else has ever entered/scanned the card then all you have to do is click on it and you can manage your collection that way. I hope you give it a spin and see what you think. Some of our users have done an amazing job of getting content into the system, I find that most of the cards I add to my collection now a days have been already scanned and tagged by someone else
ReplyDeleteI'd Zistle. Wait, I do Zistle.
ReplyDeleteAfter taking a few weeks off from it, I'm going back through my cards, making sure that I've added them all and filling in the blanks for the images that they don't have.
Sure, it takes a bit of time, but if I'm going to scan them in for a blog post, why not share the love?
Josh and Ashley are great people and are sharing a good thing with us. Take advantage of it.
